Sliding Window (खिसकाने वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of two large window sashes that slide horizontally across each other. It is generally used in offices and small rooms for more light and air.

Casement Window (एक पैनल वाली शीशे की हिंजयुक्त खिड़की)

It usually consists of a single glass pane that can be opened outwards from one side. It is mainly used in houses.

Hung Window (लंबवत पैनल खिसकाने वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of two window sashes. In a single hung window, only the bottom window sash can slide vertically (up and down) but in a double-hung window, both the top and bottom window sash can slide vertically.

Awning Window (एक पैनल वाली नीचे से बाहर की तरफ खुलने वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of a single glass pane that can be opened by pushing outward from the bottom. It is generally used in rainy areas because it allows air circulation without letting the water inside.

Bay Window (दीवार से बाहर की तरफ निकली हुई तीन पैनल वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of three window sashes, one large window sash in the middle with two angled side window sashes. It is generally used in the living room and kitchen areas.

Egress Window (भू-गृह में लगायी जाने वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of two rectangular window sashes that slide (one or both) horizontally. It is mainly used in basement areas and also provides an escape route in case of an emergency.

Hopper Window (एक पैनल वाली ऊपर से बाहर की तरफ खुलने वाली तापरोधी खिड़की)

It usually consists of a single glass pane that can be opened by pushing outward from the top. It is used in rooms with limited wall space. It also provides insulation while allowing the light inside.

Jalousie Window (धातु अथवा शीशे की पट्टियों से बनी खिड़की)

It usually consists of slots of metal or glass that can be opened or closed from inside. It is generally used in coastal and rainy areas.

Picture Window (एक बड़े पैनल वाली शीशे की स्थिर खिड़की)

It usually consists of a large fixed glass pane that can't be opened. It is mainly used in cold areas to allow more sunlight inside the room.

Arched Window (ऊपरी अर्धगोलाकार भाग वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of a single glass pane with a rounded top. It is mainly used to add on top of other windows for aesthetics.

Skylight Window (छत में लगायी जाने वाली खिड़की)

It usually consists of a fixed glass pane. It is installed directly into the ceiling of the room and allows natural lighting all day long. It is mainly used in rooms with limited wall space.

Glassblock Window (शीशे के उपखण्डों से बनी खिड़की)

It usually consists of multiple obscure glass blocks. It is mainly used in basements and bathrooms to offer light without transparency.

Round Circle Window (गोलाकार खिड़की)

It is generally a round-shaped window but can be half-round, oval, or elliptical in shape. It is mainly used to bring unique aesthetics to the room.

Bow Window (दीवार से बाहर की तरफ निकली हुई बहुपैनल खिड़की)

It usually consists of multiple window sashes that are installed similar to a bay window and create a circular curve outside of the room. It is mainly used in the front yards and backyards to extend the outside view.
